    A sail is a tensile structure—made from fabric or other membrane materials—that uses wind power to propel sailing craft, including sailing ships, sailboats, windsurfers, ice boats, and even sail-powered land may be made from a combination of woven materials—including canvas or polyester cloth, laminated membranes or bonded filaments—usually in a three- or four-sided shape. The points of sail at which sailing craft can achieve highest speeds span between a beam reach (90° to the true wind) and a broad reach (about ° away from the true wind).       The book is packed with lots of simple and fun crafts, just like this one! My kids absolutely loved playing with these little cork sail boats (the first clip in the video is my 6 year old’s hands!). It’s just so fun that the boats actually float! I’ve been filling up a baking dish with water, and the kids take their boats for a little sail.
